From City Hedges by Adrian Henri
Don't Look
Don't look in my eyes, then
look at the dragonflies
glittering look at the river
Don't listen to my words
listen to the crickets
loud in the hayfield listen to the water
Don't touch me
don't feel my lips my body
feel the earth alive with sedges
trefoil valerian feel the sunlight
My lady,
these things I bring you
don't see only know
a landscape in your body
a river in my eyes

'birds'
these flies, these paper airplanes
floating in the sky
they look like i am stoned but I am
sober high.
In the trees they sit and wait
for crystal and I to look their way.
flap their wings and fly like dust
in the wind, with the gust.
fly little birdies, fly.
get away from the ozone rise.
as we sit in confusion, you're just an illusion
to our flying minds,
the minds that you fly by.
?!?! lol. thank you for including me in your post! much appreciated! I just sent your email a list of more mind-boggling, soul-igniting mysteries......
anyways I forgot to put it in the email, but here is the quote I could not get off the tip of my tongue @ sandy's today....
"Commit yourself to making lots of mistakes. Mistakes teach you important lessons. Either you succeed or you learn something. It's a Win-Win." -marcandangel.com
